  Youth Food Handler Training is part of our 'Help Wanted" youth employment series. Must be at least 15 & entering grades 9-12. A food handler is a food service employee who works with unpackaged food, food equipment or utensils, or food contact surfaces, such as hostesses, kitchen staff, bussers, etc. The Texas Department of State Health Services, under the Texas Food Establishment Rules, requires that “all food employees shall successfully complete an accredited food handlers training course, within 60 days of employment.
